Hollingbourne
is a picturesque Kent village, for all seasons and all ages. Nestling amongst the North Downs it is within easy reach of many very special places. Whether you live here, visit to take in the scenery and excellent walks, or to get in touch with the wealth of history that Hollingbourne offers, there is much in store for you.
For residents, Hollingbourne represents a thriving community that offers a diverse number of activities: sport, pantomime, village fetes and other social events, and many specialist groups ranging from art to historical, Royal British Legion to Women's Institute. At the core of village life are our successful primary school and our welcoming church.
Visitors may be attracted by the activities taking place in the village throughout the year, or as a base for walking the North Downs Way or Pilgrims Way, for tracing ancestral history in the area, or simply visiting Leeds Castle. Others come for just a while to enjoy the excellent hospitality of Hollingbourne's fine pubs and restaurants.
Whatever brings you to this area, take a few minutes, read on and see the breadth of what Hollingbourne has to offer.
Village outline- Today, Hollingbourne remains mostly agricultural, with residential use too. The broader village numbers almost 1,000 souls, which supports a thriving village shop, an excellent and well thought
of primary school, an historic church, a village hall, three pubs as well as other small business enterprises (emanating from the trend to run businesses from a home-base). Hollingbourne lies on the B2163,
and has excellent links onto the A20/M20 links. France and London are within easy reach, either by road, or rail using the village's mainline station for London, or Ashford for high-speed trains to the Continent.
We have access to superb open spaces and run many active local societies to cater for all interests. The links opposite give further detail of some of these.
